Privacy policy

Last reviewed September 7, 2026

This policy covers information collected through the Marin Tech Care website and when you contact me. It also describes how I plan to handle customer records when service begins.

When you contact me

When you call, text, or email, I receive the contact details and information you share. That can include your name, phone number or email address, visit address, scheduling preferences, and a description or photo of the problem. I use those details to answer you and arrange or carry out the work.

I use Google Workspace for email and Quo (formerly OpenPhone) for phone communications and messages. Calls are not recorded or transcribed.

This website has no contact form, client account, or payment checkout. Its contact links open your phone, messaging, or email app. Those services handle communications under their own privacy practices.

Please keep passwords, verification codes, and financial details out of messages and screenshots.

Website hosting and analytics

Vercel hosts this website. When you visit, Vercel processes technical request information, such as your IP address and the page requested, to deliver and operate the site. See Vercel's privacy policy for its practices.

This website uses Google Analytics to measure visits and interactions. Analytics loads when you open a page, without an opt-in prompt. Google can use cookies and receive information such as the page address, your IP address, and browser or device information.

When you click a tracked call, text, or email link, the site sends Google an event named contact_click. The event records the contact method and where the link appears, such as the footer. The event does not include the contents of your call, text, or email.

Read how Google uses information from sites that use its services. Google also provides a Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on for supported browsers. That add-on concerns Google Analytics; it does not stop all website or communications data collection. Your browser also has controls for cookies. This site does not provide its own consent or analytics opt-out setting.

This site does not change its Analytics loading in response to a browser's Do Not Track signal. Google's handling of information is described in the linked Google policies.

Planned device inventories and service records

On the first visit, I will write down your devices, model names, and key setup details so later troubleshooting starts with your setup. The inventory will exclude passwords, verification codes, and financial details. I plan to store device inventories and customer service records in Google Drive.

A short note to a named family member after a visit is optional. I send one only with the service recipient's consent and only if they want it sent to that person. The service recipient can change that choice at any time.

Service providers and payments

I use providers to host the website and handle communications, and plan to use them to store service records and process service payments. Information goes to those providers as needed for those tasks: website requests to Vercel, analytics data to Google, emails to Google Workspace, phone communications and messages to Quo, and planned service records to Google Drive.

Square is the payment provider for service payments, separate from this website. When you pay through Square, Square processes the payment details and transaction information. There is no Square checkout on this site.

These providers process information under their own applicable terms and privacy practices. Read Google's privacy policy, Quo's privacy policy, and Square's privacy policy for more about their handling of information.

Retention and privacy requests

I will delete your device inventory 12 months after your membership ends or your last service visit, whichever is later, or earlier if you request deletion.

That schedule applies to the device inventory I manage. Contact messages, other service records, and payment records can have different retention periods based on their purpose, any applicable recordkeeping requirements, and the provider handling them. The inventory schedule does not set a retention period for Google Analytics or other provider records.

To ask to review, correct, or delete information I hold, email colton@marintechcare.com or call (628) 215-8221. Tell me which information your request concerns. I may need to confirm your identity before providing or changing personal information.

I handle requests for the records I manage. Providers can retain separate records under their own policies and obligations; a request to me does not guarantee deletion from every provider system or backup. If a request involves records I cannot delete, I will explain that limitation.

Policy updates

When I update this policy, I will post the revised text here and update the review date at the top of the page.
